Hydrologische Untersuchungsstelle Salzburg (HUS) is celebrating a remarkable anniversary in 2024, 50 years of continuous success with the courage to innovate, a high level of commitment, flexibility and the pursuit of quality. Since its foundation in 1974, the company has developed into an industry leader in the region and has continuously expanded its presence in the environmental market. In 2018, HUS became part of the GBA Group.
The company's internal 50th anniversary celebrations gathered a variety of guests, including company founder Dipl. Ing. Reinhold Haider as well as GBA Group representatives Steffen Walter (CEO of GBA Holding GmbH) and Laura Garcia Baglietto (Vice President Water & Environment International). In her speech, the company's Managing Director, Dipl.-Ing. Senada Sabic, emphasized the importance of courage, perseverance, reliability and innovation for the company's continued success.
Since its foundation half a century ago, HUS has written an impressive success story. From humble beginnings as a team of five in Roseggerstrasse in Lehen, it has developed into a nationally recognized company in the Itzlinger "IQ International Quarter" in Schillerstrasse, offering its services throughout Austria.
The team, which now has around 30 members, looks after water from the source to the tap, from the drainage pipe to its return to its natural cycle. Under the umbrella of HUS, all hydrological issues are brought together in a combination of accredited laboratory testing center and engineering office for water management, from analysis to consulting and assessment to planning. In the area of Salzburg, around 400 drinking water suppliers place their trust in HUS to ensure the quality and reliability of their water supply.
In addition to its economic performance, the company has also placed a strong focus on social responsibility. "I always wanted to do more for water. From the very beginning, my aim was to provide our customers with competent, independent, politically neutral and objective advice," says company founder Reinhold Haider.
As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations, employees had the opportunity to celebrate the company's achievements and look forward to future successes. Under the umbrella of the GBA Group, customers will be able to access an even broader range of services in the future and also benefit from the network of diverse locations in Europe, the USA and Asia.
Hydrologische Untersuchungsstelle Salzburg can look back proudly on its heritage and is ready to tackle the next 50 years with the same passion, determination and highest possible quality standards that have characterized the company since its foundation.
