The pesticide multi-method: An effective screening procedure

QuEChERS

You could call it a classic in pesticide analysis: the multimethod using QuEChERS.

QuEChERS stands for quick, effective, cheap, rugged and safe, which perfectly describes the characteristics of the method. It combines liquid chromatography with gas chromatography and thus enables several hundred residues of substances to be detected cost-effectively in one run and in a short time.

It is therefore an ideal basis for safeguarding a wide range of products and should not be missing from any monitoring programme.

The European Regulation (EC) No 396/2005 on maximum levels of pesticide residues regulates the applicable limit values depending on the respective foodstuff.
