The GBA Group is expanding its international laboratory network and is represented in Switzerland for the first time with the addition of laboratory service provider NIUTEC AG (NIUTEC). With this acquisition, the GBA Group is once again strengthening its positioning in the growing market for the qualification of medical devices. Furthermore, the partnership with NIUTEC creates a strong basis for further development in the important local Swiss market for environmental analysis.

The GBA Group is continuing its international growth strategy by acquiring the Dutch company BAAT Holding B.V. (BAAT Medical), a leading provider of design and development services for medical devices. With this strategic acquisition, the GBA Group strengthens its position in the European medical device market, among other things by expanding its service portfolio in the development phase from the product idea to product development and successful market launch.

GBA Medical Device Services now has an updated GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) certificate following the successful move to a new, state-of-the-art laboratory. This means that we are still ideally positioned to meet your requirements even more flexibly, efficiently and with the highest quality standards.

GBA MDS will be represented at the 2nd Annual European Medical Device Biocompatibility Conference! This prestigious event will take place on September 18 and 19, 2024, in Munich and brings together professionals from various companies to discuss the latest developments and challenges in medical device biocompatibility.

In the immediate neighbourhood of the almost 30-year-old GBA MDS headquarter, a state-of-the-art LEAN-optimized medical device testing laboratory has been developed over the last few months. With 2,700 m² of floor space, the laboratory area has quadrupled to over 1,600 m².
