HYGIENICUM Graz - a new service provider for GMP-certified microbiological laboratory tests

Hygienicum, an institute of the GBA Group at the Graz site and a competence center for microbiology and molecular biology. The broad food and hygiene portfolio has now been expanded to include GMP testing. GMP-compliant infrastructure was created around an isolator for sterile testing and integrated into a QM system. Hygienicum thus joins the pharmaceutical sites of the GBA Group with microbiological testing facilities. The portfolio of the entire group ranges from clinical trial support and clinical testing laboratories to comprehensive chemical laboratory analysis.

The GMP certification covers the testing of sterile and non-sterile manufacturing activities, biological testing (endotoxins), as well as the import of medicinal products within the same scope of authorization. The portfolio is complemented by NON-GMP tests for cosmetics (preservation efficacy test, safety assessment and microbiology) as well as medical devices (bioburden testing).
