The headquarters of the GBA Group Food are in Hamburg. The main analytical focus is on the examination of plant-based products. We can provide you with all important analyses from under one roof. Our 3000 sq m facility is dedicated to analyses in the fields of microbiology, nutrients e.g. vitamins), residues and contaminants (e.g. pesticides). These can all be carried out simultaneously at the same site and evaluated by a personal customer advisor. Selected services from our portfolio include:
- Nutrient analyses (e.g. Big 7, especially the analysis of carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, minerals and cholesterol)
- Residue analyses (e.g. pesticides, veterinary pharmaceuticals)
- Contaminant analyses (e.g. mycotoxins, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons [PAHs], heavy metals, chlorates/perchlorates)
- Additive analyses (e.g. dyes, preservatives, sweeteners)
- Microbiological analyses (e.g. total colony forming units, yeasts, molds, pathogenic microbes such as salmonella and staphylococcus aureus, as well as tests for BBDs (best before dates) and hygienic parameters, such as enterobacteriaceae, coliform bacteria)
- Product-specific tests (e.g. tea, fish, meat, spices, candy, grains)
- Allergens (e.g. gluten, mustard, lactose, sulphur dioxide)
- Detection of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs)
- Review of package labelling (declaration)
- Classifications and appraisals according to food laws
- BNN (Association of Organic Processors, Wholesalers and Retailers) and other approvals
- BNN approvals: B1: fresh fruit and vegetables; B2: processed fruit and vegetables; B3: cereal, cereal products and oilseeds; B4: tea, fruit tea, herbs & spices
