But what actually happens during sampling and how does the sample get from the environment to the laboratory?

We lift the curtain and offer an insight into the daily work at our environmental sites. To do so, we would like to share some impressions with you: From sampling to analysis in our state-of-the-art lab.

On the first Friday in August, "Beer Day" is celebrated internationally. We use this occasion to draw attention to the fact that beer must also be tested for food safety. It is not only the end product that is important, but also the safety of the raw materials. The brewing water, hops and grain should be examined for contamination in advance.

Penicillium griseofulvum was first described morphologically by Dierckx in 1901 and recognized as a distinct species within the genus Penicillium. The morphological identification of Penicillium griseofulvum is comparatively simple as it is one of the few interior Penicillium species to form tertiary and quarterverticillate spore carriers. That means, from one main axis branch up to three lateral axes, which end in terminal metulae and phialides.

After the launch of the first web-based solutions for laboratory data management the development continues.
Amedon, which is specialized in developing and delivering web-based solutions for clinical research, and LKF, the central laboratory for phase I - IV of clinical trials in northern Germany, have now collaborated to develop a feature that enables real-time tracking of study kits.
