The German Fruit & Vegetable Congress will take place on 21. and 22.09.2020 at the Congress Center Düsseldorf. Due to Corona, the 10th event in this series will be held in a slightly different format. Nevertheless, the GBA Group, as a long-standing sponsoring partner, will again be there this year, presenting our services throughout the entire food supply chain. With close to 20 years of experience in phototoxicity studies in Balb/c 3T3 cells according OECD 432 and ICH S10 and under GLP, testing for cytotoxicity under irradiation is routine to us. We also use 3D human skin models in phototoxicity tests under GLP to provide an additional option for testing of skin care formulations or pharmaceuticals for topical application.

From September 2020, the Thüringer Umweltinstitut is offering a position for the Voluntary Ecological Year (FÖJ) in Krauthausen, Thuringia. The FÖJ gives an insight into the everyday work of a "laboratory assistant in the environmental field".

For many years, the Thüringer Umweltinstitut, a subsidiary of the GBA Group, is a place of employment for the FÖJ / Thuringia Year.

Dr. Klaus Biemel has taken over the role of the Managing Director of Pharmacelsus GmbH (Member of GBA Group Pharma). Dr. Biemel has proven his management skills as an executive (COO) of Pharmacelsus from 2007 to 2018, and brings almost 20 years of experience in the field of ADMET, DMPK and bioanalysis.

He became an expert in the assessment and development of small molecules and therapeutic peptides entities, including the overseeing and directing of preclinical profiling and development operations.
