The GBA Group will be participating as an exhibitor at the DECHEMA symposium "Strategies for the redevelopment of soil and groundwater". The event will take place from 28. – 29.11.2022 in the DECHEMA-Haus in Frankfurt am Main.

From November 08th – 09th 2022, the colloquium will be held at the Dreikönigskirche Dresden and will feature lectures as well as an accompanying trade exhibition to present technologies, products, services and research results to a broad spectrum of participants.

For the GBA Group, Dr. Sven Unger and Dr. Matthias Kirste will be at SALKO to provide information on news in contaminated site processing and on the GBA Group's competent consulting and services in the field of environmental analysis.

The mold species Syncephalastrum racemosum, due to its distribution in tropical or subtropical regions, is not necessarily one of the typical indoor molds in Germany. However, this species is frequently found on spoiled food and is also introduced into temperate climates in the course of global food transport chains. The ability to maintain vital spores under anaerobic conditions also allows dissemination via vacuumed and dried foods.

As part of a collaborative effort, a data interface between GBA Group laboratories and Mineral Waste Manager will go live in October. This means that the assistance tool for mineral waste management will soon have a data interface to our laboratories and receive verified parameter values first-hand.

This globally occurring mold species is usally found on rotting organic waste, as well as in soil and on manure. The species plays a comparatively minor role indoors. Due to its low water activity, Aspergillus clavatus can also occur on dry substrates and is therefore classified as a xerophilic mold.
