The historic Berlin property has approximately 386 hectares and about 40,000 rooms in the building. Here, the GBA team took a total of 6,851 environmental samples, also at dizzying heights on the roof.

These were analyzed in GBA laboratories in Berlin, Gelsenkirchen and Pinneberg for PAHs, PCBs, asbestos, heavy metals and wood preservatives.
