Annex Prohibition of titanium oxide (E 171) as a food additive

The draft regulation SANTE/10896/2021 (Annex 1 and 2) banning the food additive titanium dioxide (E 171) is now available. Contrary to what was originally planned, according to the draft there will be a transition period of 6 months (i.e. the ban is expected to apply from mid-2022). Food products that have already been produced are to be allowed to be sold until the end of their shelf life. GBA Group - Know what's inside.
